RETAIL MANAGER - ASCOT - £15 per hour



About Lapland

Based on the original stories of Mike and Alison Battle ‘Lapland’, the show, is a ground-breaking immersive theatrical production that brings to life the mythical elven world of Father Christmas. Lapland celebrates the wonderment of childhood through our magical world, rich story telling & memory making experiences.


Role

The Retail Manager is a very important role at LaplandUK and it is great opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join a friendly team in a fast paced and collaborative environment. Based at our Ascot event site, the Retail Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day retail operation of the experience, ensuring that the retail stores are fully staffed and stocked and that the teams are fully briefed and trained in their roles.


Responsibilities


Event Planning

  • Be fully aware of current retail strategies including product, visual merchandising and sales forecasts prior to site launch.

Event Operations

  • Ensure all retail departments’ set-up or closing duties at the beginning/end of daily operations are complete, and that cleaning, stock levels and visual merchandising standards have been adhered to.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure guest expectations are consistently met and exceeded through warm and welcoming service delivery. following the LaplandUK operating procedures and sequence of service.

HR

  • Train team members to ensure service and quality standards are consistently met.

    Maintain and improve the morale of Retail Elves during the event.

Loss Prevention

  • Ensure any stock movements are properly recorded and stock wastage is minimised and properly accounted for alongside the Warehouse Manager.

Compliance

  • Ensure company policies, procedures and brand standards are understood and adhered to.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a retail supervisory role.

Lead by example as a strong operational, hands on, role model.
Bright and articulate, with the ability to influence and engage other members of the team.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

Lapland is based in Whitmoor Forest, in Crown Estate on Swinley Road, Winkfield Row near Ascot SL5 8BD.


Key Dates

EMPLOYMENT DATES: October 2024 to January 2024

LIVE EVENT: In 2024 Lapland will run from Thursday 10th November – Saturday 24th December.
