ACTOR, MAGIC ELF - £13.25/h - ASCOT
About Lapland:
Based on the original stories of Mike and Alison Battle ‘Lapland’, the show, is a ground-breaking immersive theatrical production that brings to life the mythical elven world of Father Christmas. Lapland celebrates the wonderment of childhood through our magical world, rich story telling & memory making experiences.
Role Overview:
The Magic Elf role is a highly interactive, guest-facing 'in-world’ role; they escort families to Father Christmas, sharing Lapland stories along the way! They also welcome families into Father Christmas' woodland cabin, taking photographs during the visit, and ensuring that guests have the most magical of experiences. They work in pairs throughout their 8 hour shift and have a mixture of performance & operational responsibilities.
Where is LaplandUK?
Lapland Ascot is based in Whitmoor Forest, in Crown Estate on Swinley Road, Winkfield Row near Ascot, SL5 8BD.
Lapland Manchester is based at Capesthorne Hall, Congleton Road, Siddington, Macclesfield, SK11 9JY.
Key Dates:
- PAID TRAINING: Your training plan will vary depending on your role. Training will take place on select dates between the end of October 2024 and the beginning of November 2025.
- LIVE EVENT: In 2025, Lapland Ascot will run from Saturday 8th November – Wednesday 24th December. Lapland Manchester will run from Thursday 13th November - Wednesday 24th December.

Customer Facing Role Requirements Where the Worker is customer facing & in costume, they will be expected to:
• Remove all piercings (no clear replacements)
• Have Natural hair colour and have all long hair in plaits.
• Arrive on shift with a base layer of natural appearing make-up, no false eye lashes and no false or painted nails.
• Have all tattoos covered - costumes vary and not all costumes will cover, hands, neck and arms etc anything visible or that could become visible during a working day is not permittable.
• All jewellery to be removed (Including accessories like tooth gems etc) with the exception of wedding or engagement rings.
• Leave all watches, including smart watches and phones securely in your locker
Please note we require a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week; this application is for the hold pool.
