Role Overview

The HR Advisor role is an extremely important role for the company and a great opportunity for a caring and passionate HR generalist to join a friendly, progressive team of talented individuals in a fast paced and collaborative environment. For the first month this role will be based in our wonderfully creative London office in Borough (potential for some flexibility for home working) prior to the event build commencing. During the event build, live event, running and de-construction period you will be based on site in Ascot. The HR Advisor will be responsible for general HR administrative duties on the lead up to & during the live event whilst supporting the HR Supervisor in keeping the team working collaboratively and hitting deadlines. It is imperative you are comfortable commuting to Ascot for your working shifts. The role is a fixed term contract for 5 months from 1st September 2022.


Responsibilities;

Recruitment:

  • Posting of job adverts
  • Sifting applications & issuing behavioural and cognitive testing links if required
  • Arranging (& attending where required) interviews and auditions with applicants
  • Updating applicant records
  • Issuing offers and rejections.

Onboarding:

  • Completing contracts using templates to send out to successful applicants.
  • Filing and recording contracts, payroll details and right to work information.
  • Following up with staff members who haven’t returned the necessary documentation.
  • Answering any incoming HR queries over email.
  • Issuing all training information.
  • Producing staff rotas as required

During the Live Event Period (supported by HR Manager and Event HR Supervisor):

  • Run the team Sign-In Office with enthusiasm to promote morale amongst the teams.
  • Deal with any queries appropriately and escalate as needed to the HR Manager or Supervisor. You are at the hub of communications between the Event Management Team and the Elves.
  • Ensure all relevant HR policies are applied & followed


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential qualification/experience:

  • Ability to follow HR rules & requirements as directed
  • Previous experience in a HR administration role
  • Good administrative skills
  • Experience of onboarding new team members
  • General understanding of common HR rules & requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Desirable qualification/experience:

  • Previous use of Fourth system
  • General recruitment of team members
  • Experience of working in the event industry

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Positive & passionate by default with a can-do attitude
  • Attentive and articulate, with the desire to follow & maintain robust HR processes
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Diligent and tenacious with a strong desire to succeed and help others to do so
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively as part of a busy team
  • Able to manage own workload and work to tight deadlines, effective prioritisation skills and ability to focus on tasks in order of priority
  • IT literate with ability to resolve own minor issues and use all Microsoft office applications as well as being comfortable using a Mac
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Comfortable in a forest surrounding – whilst we are in an office on site, there is a significant amount of popping between other areas outside
